Well...I think that they probably have some power...but I think that it's probably high risk probably low reward? Especially when you consider the chances that someone else might just kill you even if you get away with murder.

Seems to me that killing's the easiest way to ensure you don't get out of here alive. Though, apparently we can send messages to the dead, so maybe it's not as permanent as we'd maybe expect.
